Who is a life coach? What problems does it solve and what is the use of it?
The first step to success is to understand what you want and know what you intend to do!
Life Coaching is an ethical, supportive profession. It is, as it is fashionable to say now, in a" soft niche " along with psychology, although it is not one.
The Life Coach uses the magic power of commitment to enable its clients to achieve profitable and measurable results in all areas of their lives. With a coach, achieving your goals is faster, more comfortable, more interesting, and much more effective than doing it alone.
Coaching is a holistic process that can balance and harmonize the lives of mentally healthy people. A coach, or coach, usually specializes in one topic or one specific area of knowledge. The best coaches of top sports players were professionals who had previously achieved significant success. At some point, these coaches realized that their wards achieve better results when they find a solution themselves than when they hear directives: "Do this – do not do that!" From that moment on, they became sports coaches.
In the 1980s, business coaches appeared on the world stage under the guise of financial consultants. There was business coaching and business consulting.
An expert in a particular area can conduct life coaching, but someone who doesn't have the specific knowledge and skills needed in that area can also do it effectively. In fact, many of the most successful life coaches do not have any experience in the field of specialization of their clients at all.
Being an expert in many professions and fields is not a must for a life coach! coach is your equal partner. Your second brain. He, being a holistic person, sees his task in pushing you to change your life for the better.
You are the best expert in your field, setting an ambitious goal for yourself! You will be able to achieve it without any help, if you have a strong enough intention. It is the desire to change that is primary here! Seriously and for a long time! Without it, no coach can help you in any way. But with a coach, it will be much easier and easier to achieve what you want. Although you will go all the way from point A to point B on your own. And the responsibility for the result will also lie entirely on you! After all, whether we trust a person as an expert or not does not affect what we will do, if we somehow find the right solution and make the necessary changes. In other words: the main competence of a coach is the ability to train!
However, some life coaches believe that their clients need advice and personal experience in the areas where they coach. Spiritual coaches focus on connecting with the higher Self and the flow state. It is assumed that the coach himself must, at a minimum, be able to be in this state and manage it. Life coaches with an emphasis on therapy in their practice believe that this process is unthinkable without counseling and psychoanalysis. Life coaching can easily include all of the above. This depends, first of all, on the needs of each individual client, and the skills of the coach himself.
If you are sufficiently familiar with the use of coaching methods, you can develop your own style and program to become a sought-after life coach.
Despite this diversity of approaches, most life coaches agree that it's about achieving results. Nothing will resolve by itself! There should be no doubt about it. Coaching is strictly about goals and results!
If you ask most people, " Is there something that you were going to do before, but still haven't started or completed?" They will definitely say, " Yes." They will tell you exactly what it is and how long they want to do it. They can even list all the reasons why they are still procrastinating. A life coach can easily bridge the gap between "thinking about doing" and " actually doing something." After all, # reality is the place where # changes should take place and where we plan to get the long-awaited # results.
People tend to be dissatisfied because there is a conflict between their desires and their value system. They depend entirely on these values and beliefs. Many of them were formed in childhood, and can no longer adequately serve them in adulthood. However, people are still guided by these outdated principles.
Some life coaches seek to eliminate these barriers and contradictions before working on the client's desired outcomes. In the long run, any conflicts between desires and beliefs should be identified and resolved, but initially, the work of a life coach is aimed at getting lasting results. By the way, the lack of results, the inability to finish what you started – this is also a result! Often with this result come clarity, new understanding, and new awareness. Reality sometimes hurts!
A life coach who spends time at the beginning of working with clients on anything other than results will reduce the impact of the coaching process on real changes. This is not on the agenda of an advanced coach! If the coach works at a high professional level, then most likely he will reduce all such deviations to zero.
When a coach focuses on results and allows his clients to identify and achieve them with ease, clients can eventually realize their beliefs and values. But changing them is not the main task of a coach. After all, coaching, as a method, is absolutely unique in that it allows a person to open up, and directive instructions, on the contrary, block and close it. He enters a position of blind defense. Climbs into the tank and directs the barrel in the direction of impact.
Thus, the main role of a life coach is to expand the boundaries and capabilities of the client.
This is achieved by using the" power of commitment " as leverage. Once customers agree to the activity, they commit to keep their promise. This commitment is ultimately linked to the customer's identity. The life coach relies on this power. Personal power of a person. A future champion.
The power of commitment is based on people's social roles that correspond to who they think they are and how they behave. The coach uses the power of honesty. Customers become dishonest if they don't fulfill their obligations. People in society don't trust those who can't keep their word, keep the punch, go to the end. They are seen as inert, unreliable, and insidious, like liars and windbags. Clients don't want their coach to think of them that way. Therefore, they will be willing to move mountains to perform the actions and achieve the goals they agreed to earlier.
Guilt is another important factor in the strength of commitment. When clients don't reach their goals, they punish themselves with guilt. This self-flagellation gives them far more pain than anything the coach can cause them. To varying degrees, people are motivated by getting pleasure and avoiding pain. Pain and pleasure, used as a powerful tool, serve as a guarantee that clients will achieve their results. This is a simple process, but very effective in making powerful breakthroughs.
Life coaching helps people in every aspect of life. Unlike sports coaching or business consulting, this is a holistic view of every dimension of life. If a life coach starts focusing only on one particular area, and develops his client only in this sector, then the client's life may become unbalanced. When clients have advanced in the field of work, but have failures in relationships, the negative effects of these relationships begin to affect productivity at work. In the cyclical model of life, this means that they have to take time away from the business and # business will eventually suffer. A coach can skillfully use this effect to convince a person of the importance of monitoring their relationships in order to contribute to all areas of life.
Or another example: if clients focus on their physical bodies so much that they start skipping work for the sake of building a beautiful body, they may end up with financial problems. Financial problems will cause them to start worrying and have trouble sleeping.
Losing sleep will have an adverse effect on the health and beauty of the body, and this fact can serve as a good lever for the trainer to encourage clients to take care of financial issues. Everything in life is surprisingly cyclical! This gives the life coach many tools of influence, and gives his clients good reasons to pay attention to achieving goals in all interdependent areas of their lives.
Helping clients set goals in each area of their lives, and then working hard to help them achieve results, also brings an awareness of the importance of balance and harmony to the coach's own life.
Life coaching is an interdependent relationship between a coach and a client. Relationships based on honesty, respect and the coach's unwavering belief in the unlimited potential of his ward. This is a process that gives both sides a lot of interesting experiences and vivid emotions. Finding happiness and meaning in life.
